GEN Europe

    GEN Europe promotes the vision of a more just, sustainable and equitable society through the promotion of models for sustainable community development. GEN-Europe is a network of grassroots initiatives. Our ecovillage members are research, demonstration and training centres for the wider sustainability movement.
    Within GEN, equal weight is given to four core dimensions of sustainability: the economic, the ecological, the social and culture. All four are seen as being mutually reinforcing, each essential to sustainable community development that truly meets the needs of people and the planet.
    GEN focuses on networking, information dissemination and promotion of best practice examples, education and advocacy.
