CLIPS serves as a reference model for diagnosing strengths and weaknesses in groups. Experience shows that projects with competent people and attention given to all 5 layers of CLIPS have a high possibility of succeeding in building sustainabile community. The methods presented can assist groups to analyse their projects using the CLIPS framework and various approaches. Diagnostic tools are meant for stocktaking, direction setting and to identify areas in which the group needs support.

GEN Ecovillage Playing Cards

These cards are produced by the Global Ecovillage Network (GEN Education), here contextualized to CLIPS. They can be used to map motivations for group members, to map skills and learning needs of group members and to search for a common intention for a group. A workshop of 1,5 hours.
