Creating a community and keeping it flourishing is a wonderful and rewarding journey, but it often comes with its own unique set of challenges. GEN Europe’s mission is to support both new and existing communities to thrive and prosper and that’s why we’ve gathered the immense abundance of experience and expertise from our seasoned ecovillages to create an immersive learning experience based on a rich array of community living tools and skills such as CLIPS, facilitation practices, and much more!

GENESIS is a programme of the Global Ecovillage Network Europe (GEN Europe), for the creation of a more just, sustainable and equitable society by promoting and supporting sustainable and regenerative communities!

Get immersed in a learning experience designed to support individuals in understanding community life, group facilitation, and sustainable collective processes. Hosted in European ecovillages, GENESIS combines hands-on activities with facilitation training.

Three-Module Community Learning Experience

Module 1: Genesis – Community Living Experience

Dates: October 04-11, 2026
Location: Ecovillage Bergen / Land van Aine Netherlands
Focus: Hands-on community life exploration, group dynamics, and collective living.
For: newcomers to community life.

Module 2: Facilitation Training

Dates: January 7-14, 2027
Location: Torri Superiore, Italy
Focus: Group decision-making, conflict resolution, meeting facilitation, participatory leadership.
For: aspiring facilitators.

Module 3: CLIPS Training

Dates: March 9-16, 2027
Location: Arterra Bizimodu, Spain
Focus: Advanced CLIPS methodology, community tools for group processes, collective management and practical application.
For: Experienced facilitators engaged in co-creative groups.

Each module can be taken individually or as part of the complete program. Participants receive progressive discounts for attending multiple modules.

Course Pricing Structure

Single Course full price 

• Early Bird: 700€
• Regular Price: 750€

Facilitation fee per module

• Early Bird: €300 (deadline: 1 month before the start of each module)
• Regular Price: €350

Discounts for multiple modules

• If you join two modules, there is a 5% discount on the second module (facilitation fee only)
• If you join all three modules,  there is a 10% discount on the third module (facilitation fee only)

Other discounts

• Participants coming through Erasmus+ education for learners and staff programs (K121-ADU) may use a discount code provided by their sending organization.

Food & Accommodation contribution: €400

• Early Bird deadline: 30 days before each module start date
• Regular registration: Closes when maximum participants reached or 3 days before event start
• Wait list procedures: Communicated to applicants as needed
